  • How to encourage choice making throughout the day – Choice and control is a recognised human right that really should be supported throughout the day. But what if choice making is difficult for your child? We will show you some STRATEGIES and activities you can do to encourage choice making.
  • How to extend vocabulary, practical strategies and activities – The advantage of using a formal AAC system is its ability to contribute to language development, in particular expanding expressive language. We will show you how to extend your child’s vocabulary in motivating ways.
  • Moving beyond one-word requests and comments – Now that your child can make choices and is gaining confidence in expressing themselves, we can now look at extending their expressive language with two or more word sentence communication.
